The architect drew inspiration from the neighbourhood's vibrant Peranakan influence as seen in the colourful tiles, qulited patchwork, and emphasis on family togetherness while designing the landscaping for Emerald of Katong. The overall design concept was reimaging modern living enriched with heritage. The welcome lounge, clubhouse interior and pavilion inspired by the heritage Peranakan elaborate patterns and translate into the flooring, ceiling and screen motifs. Combine with contemporary design elements and furnishing, creating exquisite design.
